Grand Canyon School Interact Club Seeks To Serve

September 21, 2016

There’s a new club at the Grand Canyon School. The Interact Club was formed with the help of the Rotary Club. It has more than 15 members and is dedicated to serving the community. They plan to raise funds “to make Tusayan a better place.”  Some of the projects they have planned for this year are school cleanup efforts and highway trash pickups. They are also working on a Christmas toy drive for families in need, as well as food and clothing drives. The club is also raising funds to buy new hurdles for the track team. The Tusayan Town Council indicated that the Club could get funding as it is not a government agency which makes it eligible for community grants. One of the students remarked, perhaps the Town Manager “could help us out.”
