Court Comes to Tusayan

May 31, 2015

Williams Justice Court is now conducting some of its business in Tusayan. Judge Robert Krombeen has used Tusayan Town Hall's enhanced internet connections to establish a link between Town Hall and the Williams Justice Court enabling people to appear in court on a video link. The idea is to save people the long drive. This will be happening a few Tuesdays a month.

Judge Krombeen also told the Town Council that the court will be holding hearings in Tusayan once a month starting in June. This would include jury trials.

Paying fines and fees will also be easier. Judge Krombeen says a payment center will installed in Tusayan in about six months.

The Tusayan Town Council greeted the news noting that it may prompt tourists, especially international tourists, to pay their fines.
