Government transparency has been a major concern for Tusayan Town Council Member Bill Fitzgerald. He has long expressed the opinion that too much of the Town’s business is being done behind closed doors or during meetings that are not publicly posted. 

The Development Review Committee is one such example. This Committee reviewed the flawed Stilo site plan for Camper Village long before the public had a look at it. We came to find out the Development review Committee consists of Mayor Greg Bryan, Town Manager Will Wright, and Town Engineer Rick Schuller. There are no members of the public on this committee, nor are its activities publicly posted. According to the Town, the committee was selected by the Town Manager as prescribed by the (soon to be adopted) Town Subdivision Regulations.
