Tusayan is working to fill vacancies on the Planning and Zoning Commission. It has been a struggle to find new members. Former Tusayan Mayor Pete Shearer was willing to step up and apply and he was appointed unanimously at the April Town Council meeting. Shearer has also served on the Grand Canyon School District Board, and the Tusayan Sanitary District. Mayor Clarinda Vail said, “I am thrilled that you are willing to consider it Pete.”
