Kate Densmore has been appointed to the Grand Canyon School Board to complete the term for Suzan Pearce who resigned in December. That term expires on December 31, 2022.

An advisory committee consisting of a district resident, district teacher, and two current board members conducted interviews prior to the appointment made by Coconino County School Superintendent

Cheryl Mango-Paget. The other applicants were Donald Burnette, Pete Shearer, and Holly Reinesch.

The appointment comes just days after longtime school board member Kevin Hartigan resigned from the school board during a special meeting January 21st.
