Updated: : 41st Annual July 4th Grand Canyon Celebration with America's Got Talent winner Michael Grimm & Laser Light Show

June 21, 2019

On July 4th the Grand Canyon Chamber of Commerce will host its 41st annual Parade and Celebration in the Town of Tusayan just outside the South Rim of the Grand Canyon.

This year’s event theme is  Grand Canyon Celebration and we will be celebrating National Park Services 100th Anniversary. The Parade will start at 3:30 pm on Hwy 64 in Tusayan. Beginning at 2:30 pm kids will have the opportunity to join the parade by decorating their bikes and riding along.

Following the parade, the Celebration continues with live music featuring Michael Grimm – America’s Got Talent 5th year season winner - partnering with local band Exit 64 to provide live music for all those that attend. Opening band will be another local favorite – the Boulder Alley Boys. For nominal fees local restaurants/bushiness will be serving burgers, hot dogs, pulled pork, el pastor and carnitas tacos, ice cream and cotton candy. There will also be beer and wine available for purchase. The Kid Zone will feature games and Mad Science of Phoenix will be up to do a special show on Fire & Ice.

For our second year - The Town of Tusayan - is sponsoring a Laser Light Show scheduled to begin at about 8:30 pm.  This year's show is bigger and better than our first and will include a special tribute to the National Park Service 100th Anniversary.

The Chamber will have four card raffles including a 2-night stay in Sedona and a Yeti Cooler. 52 cards will be sold for $20 each (better odds than Las Vegas). We will also have a special card raffle to support Grand Canyon Conservancy and Tusayan Fire. Local businesses will provide many additional items for the Silent Auction, so a fun filled July 4th for all!

“We are looking forward to this year’s event and excited to be celebrating National Park Services 100th Centennial Celebration in a fun family environment.” said Laura Chastain, General Manager Grand Canyon CVB.

This year event sponsors include: Town of Tusayan, Holiday Inn Express & Suites, Red Feather Lodge, Texaco, Papillon Grand Canyon Helicopter, The Grand Hotel, Grand Canyon Plaza Hotel, Plaza Bonita Restaurant, Big E Steakhouse, RP’s Stage Stop, Best Western Grand Canyon Squire Inn, Arizona River Runners, Camper Village, Maverick and Buck Wild Hummer Tours.
