News Release: Missing Individual Located at South Rim of Grand Canyon National Park

Grand Canyon, Ariz. - Justin Kremer of Tempe, AZ has been successfully located by search crews earlier this afternoon. Kremer was reported as missing on Friday, July 31st with a last known location of West Rim Drive.
Search and Rescue crews and investigators were able to locate and contact Kremer near Mescalero Point, west of Grand Canyon Village. Kremer was transported back to Grand Canyon Village and will be transported to Flagstaff for further evaluation.
The National Park Service Investigative Services Branch, Grand Canyon Fire and Aviation Team, and Grand Canyon Search and Rescue Team were involved in the successful location of Kremer. Over the past two days multiple agencies also assisted in the search for Kremer including Arizona Department of Public Safety Air Rescue, Coconino County Sheriff’s Department, and the Kaibab National Forest. An investigation into this incident is still underway. No additional information is available at this time.
